Tell me about the music ?

Our DJs play nothing but the finest Soul music from the 60's and
early 70's - especially stuff from the Motown label and
records that sound like they should have been on Motown. You'll hear plenty
of 'Northern Soul', but our playlist extends to beyond that to include
Organ Grooves ( that is, organ driven jazz records with a good beat
) and occasionally some Early funk ( that still has a 60's flavor
). What you won't hear is modern soul or disco !

Many of our DJs, from across The States, Europe and beyond, are
hard-core collectors, and they will bring some pretty darn obscure discs.
However you don't have to know anything about this music to have a good
time.We like to keep it up beat and keep you dancing! Our priority is
that the record must be fun to dance to, not rare. Although hits from the
Sixties may be played, you may go several songs before you hear one that
you actually recognize. This is because we are NOT just an "oldies but
goodies" or nostalgia club. We are a SOUL MUSIC club and we celebrate
the great, obscure records, along with the hits.
